Name them, and you can have your personal tastes in international design interpreted as exquisite home medallions for your floors and murals for your walls, thanks to space age, waterjet cutting craftsmanship and the artistry of the Creative Edge Master Shop. Part artist studio, part precision manufactory, Creative Edge Master Shop produces medallions like these, each an exacting sculpture comprised of hundreds to thousands of pieces of stone (even onyx, semiprecious stone and marble), glass, metal, wood, resilient and laminate. Any material can be made into pieces as fine as filigree and turned into just about any design. It all begins with fine art. Then comes the waterjet cutting technique, a combination of water and tiny garnet particles fired at twice the speed of sound, which precisely shapes the material. Medallions and whole-house custom floors (plus borders and murals) are cut and fit at the factory, pre-assembled or partially pre-assembled, all by hand, to be installed by any installer with standard skills. Regular in-stock designs start at $700 for a two-foot diameter medallion, depending on the material including resilient, ceramic, porcelain, terrazzo and architectural metals and can run up to $20,000. Any standard design can be customized to your personal color palette, or you can order a one-of-a-kind perhaps to include the family coat of arms.
