The story truly is in the artwork.

And the artwork rests in the fertile mind of artist Harri Aalto. It is the job of the craftsmen and women at the Creative Edge Master Shop to interpret Harri’s creations into hardly believable works in stone and metal (and other materials, too!) for homes and businesses and for public memorials.

Each image you see here begins with an inspiration, translated into fine art by the classically trained and internationally recognized Harri Aalto. From there, his designs are captured on computer, every element precisely measured, then formed into exacting, often delicate, pieces which are ultimately assembled into timeless works of art.

Hundreds of years ago these kinds of floors and murals were exclusively for the privileged. The work was left in the hands of highly skilled artisans. These days, high tech does the precision work and is the back-story to the artwork.

Creative Edge Master Shop is known for its water jet cutting technique, combining water and tiny garnet particles jetted at high speed in fine needles that precisely shape materials of stone, semi-precious stone, glass, metal, wood, even resilient and laminate.

Whether a custom or customized medallion or whole-house custom floor (borders and murals, too), pieces are fit at the factory, then pre-assembled or partially assembled by crafters’ hands to be installed by any skilled craftsman.
