Murals depicting the transformation of the women’s gymnasium at the University of Northern Iowa to an innovative technology and teaching center. The pieces reflect and enhance the renovated open-space, exposed-material architectural design of the building. Each figure is cut from a single piece of aluminum and given a non-directional satin finish. The frame is sand-blasted aluminum. Background: archival mylar prints laminated between two layers of Plexiglass. Front panel: single piece of aluminum. All are joined and hung from the ceiling by wires and affixed to the wall. 78” tall. Designed by Chris Bennett.
